Astronomy club

The astronomy club meets on Wednesday evening from about 3:30 in room 207. The astronomy club is run by Mike Vetterlein (the physics technician), Tom Bell (astronomy student at UCL) and Chris Lintott (astronomy student at UCL). If you are interested in joining the club see Mike Vetterlein in the physics prep room.

The club has its own telescope (Meade ETX105) which can be used on the roof when the weather is good. The club also has access to some large research standard telescopes over the internet, the Faulkes telescopes in Hawaii and Australia.

On Wednesday 12th January 2005 the club used the Faulkes telescope in Hawaii to take images of some galaxies.
